What is Salesmsg?
Salesmsg is the texting platform EnGen uses to communicate with learners. All coaches have been assigned an inbox and a phone number. We have compiled the following best practices to ensure effective and successful communication with learners:
Best Practices
- Timely Responses: Respond to learners' messages promptly (within 24 hours) to maintain engagement and demonstrate that their inquiries are valued and essential. A learner who sends a message is interested in the program.
- Review your Inbox daily: Make it a habit to check your inbox at the start and end of each shift to ensure all messages are addressed. This consistent practice helps maintain effective communication and provides timely support for our learners.
- Clear and Concise Messaging: Keep your messages short, clear, and concise. Avoid using complex language, as long messages can be costly and are less likely to be read by learners.
- Personalization: Personalize your messages by addressing learners by their names and referencing specific details relevant to their learning journey
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional tone in all your communications, regardless of the topic you are discussing
- Use Templates: Utilize the message templates we created for our targeted outreach to save time and ensure communication consistency. If you haven't done so already, please automate the messages from the document above on your Salesmsg account.
By following these best practices, you will enhance your communication with learners and foster a more supportive and effective learning environment.
How to manage Salesmsg?
- Once you access Salesmsg, go to Conversations and select your Inbox:
- The selected filters should be Open and Newest:
- Click on the conversation you want to reply to and submit the message by clicking on the Send Message button:
- Sometimes, the Send button is not clickable. This occurs when the contact is only in HubSpot and not in Salesmsg. To resolve this, click on the learner’s profile in HubSpot and then click on the contact record. This action will create a Salesmsg contact by merging it with the HubSpot contact and enabling the Send button:
If the contact is not on HubSpot or Salesmg, create a new contact on Salesmg by copying and pasting the phone number from HubSpot. However, these should be exceptional occurrences.
- After replying to a learner's message, please ensure to close the conversation:
- You can create your templates by clicking on the Saved Replies button:
- To cover for a colleague, click the necessary coach's inbox:
- Adriana has granted coaches access to all coaches' inboxes to facilitate coverage. If you do not have access to a specific coach’s inbox (whom you are going to substitute), contact Adriana Wetzel or Lane Perry.
