📝 How to Add Line Item IDs?

📌 Instructions for CSMs


All learners need to have a Line Item ID assigned to their account in Hubspot in order for EnGen to calculate an accurate learner count per organization.


All closed/won deals will have a Line Item ID assigned to each product that include seats within the deal. Some deals may have more than one product with seats SsE. We are only focusing on products that a learner would be enrolled under.


Step #1 - Find Line Item IDs

To find a Line Item ID, search for the most recent active deal(s) in Hubspot and on the top right hand corner, click ‘Edit’.  



Make sure to find the correct Line Item ID for the product the learners are enrolled under. As mentioned, there might be more than one active deal, products, and Line Item IDs.

Step #2 - Assign a Line Item ID

Each week day, go to this report to find the learners that need a Line Item ID assigned and click on the report with your name:

You will need to add the columns ‘Client’ and ‘Group Name’ to your report in order to see what organization the learners belong to and which group they are in (this will help you determine what Line Item ID to assign).


You can sort the list according to the client and edit one learner at a time, or you can do them in bulk when more than one learner is enrolled under the same product. Place a checkmark in the box next to the learner names to determine which learners you are editing. 


Click ‘Edit’ and then under ‘Property to Update’ select ‘Line Item ID’ and add the Line Item ID and select ‘Update’. Continue these steps until all the learners on the list have been assigned a Line Item ID.
