đŸ“’ How to add Group ID (feature group ID)

Retroactively

Here is a sheet with all currently active deals that have a product from the product book. Please add the feature  group IDs to the Group ID column.

1. Go to STAK, find the org, and click ‘edit’.

2. Scroll to the bottom and find the relevant ‘Feature Group Id’ and copy.

3.  Paste the Feature Group Id in Column L.

If there are multiple feature groups under one product, you may enter the feature group IDs in one cell separated by commas.

Creating feature groups

Moving forward, every deal and every line item associated with a license must have at least one feature group. But any line item within any deal can have more than one feature group.

NEW DEALS, RENEWALS, EXPANSIONS

  • Create org and feature group(s) in STAK as usual.
  • Create a separate feature group for each line item that is associated with a license type (this has almost always happened anyway).

  • For renewals and expansions, you may use the same feature group IDs. However, those feature group IDs must be added to the deal in HubSpot in the same way as above.

After a feature group has been created, please do the following:
1. Navigate to the relevant deal in HubSpot.

2. Hover over the line items on the top right of the deal record and click ‘edit’.

3. Hover over the line item(s) that correspond to the feature group(s) you just created. When you hover, you will see the ‘Actions’ option appear. Click ‘Actions’ then ‘Edit’.

4. Enter the Group ID from STAK* and save.

Repeat for any additional line items that require distinct feature groups.

When a deal is renewed or expanded:
The way it’s on here right it can be edited with actions>edit from within the line item
